Aim & Objective

Our Mission

The mission of UPSOSB is to provide inclusive education, particularly focusing on:

  • School Girls and Women: Empowering women and girls who have been unable to pursue their education through the formal system.
  • Rural Youth: Offering educational opportunities to young people in rural areas, ensuring they have access to the same quality education as their urban counterparts.
  • Working Men and Women: Facilitating continued education for those who are balancing work with their desire to further their academic qualifications.

Our Goals

1. Inclusive Education:

  • Ensure that education is accessible to all segments of society, especially those who have been marginalized or underserved by the traditional education system.
  • Focus on delivering secondary and senior secondary education to students in both rural and urban areas who face economic and social barriers.

2. Awareness and Motivation:

  • Conduct awareness training programs and campaigns to inspire and inform the community about the importance of education and its role in socio-economic development.
  • Promote ideological inspiration and transformation in line with current social, economic, and technological changes.

3. Job-Readiness and Skill Development:

  • Equip students with the knowledge and skills required to seize job opportunities and avoid the pitfalls of commercialized education.
  • Prepare students for employment by providing them with a robust educational foundation and practical skills.

4. Accessible Learning Methods:

  • Offer education through a blend of printed materials, face-to-face counseling (Personal Contact Programmes), lab practicals/training, eBooks, and online support.
  • Provide flexible learning schedules that accommodate the diverse needs of students, enabling them to study at their own pace and convenience.

Our Approach

UPSOSB operates under the auspices of the Open Schooling initiative of the Indian Government’s Education Department. We are authorized to register, examine, and certify students up to pre-degree level courses. Our curriculum, examination standards, and certification are equivalent to those of other national open schooling boards, ensuring broad recognition and acceptance.
